...DANCE! DANCE I SAY!

I LOVE JAZZ

JAZZY-JAZZ-JAZZ

HERE IT GOES DOWN

DOWN INTO MY BELLY

(loosely interpreted quote from Anchorman)

There just aren't enough posts about music these days. Too much talk about bodyboarding and missing mamas :) So, to fill in the gap, I'm presenting my first rough 'sketch' of our reception playlist. Note: our music tastes are REALLY eclectic, so we narrowed it down to music that

A) had a good beat - make no mistake, ours will be a dancing wedding - our guests will dance until their feet bleed (at which point we will offer them monogrammed towel favors)

B) had a special meaning to us

C) had a good beat (did I mention the dancing?)

As you can see, most of them are oldies - jazz standards, motown hits, doo-wop, disco - I'm a big nut for anything older than I am! So, now I have a million or so fast-paced songs... but there are still so many songs to choose - for slower dances, for eating, for toasts, for the cake-cutting, for the 'official' dances (ie, father-daughter, NOT the chicken dance)...

Does anybody have any suggestions for slower songs, especially songs for during dinner?
